School Centered Mental Health is a new comprehensive model for delivery mental health services to children and families in the school as well as in the home. The therapist is a part of an interdisciplinary mental health team that includes LSS family coaches and school staff. The School Center Mental Health (SCMH) therapist performs clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders. The SCMH therapist works closely with children and families to develop individualized treatment plans designed to remove barriers in order to achieve identified goals and build resiliency. The SCMH Therapist works collaboratively with the LSS Family Coach, school personnel and a peer supervision team, with oversight from the Clinical Supervisors, to monitor the course of treatment. This role reports to the Program Supervisor or Manager.
This role will provide services for assigned school(s) or school district(s) and days worked will typically follow the specific school(s) schedule (i.e.: August through June). Specifics of the work, including days off, will be outlined in an annual agreement.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related program is required. Minimum of 3000 clinical hours is required. Practicum experience, through your degree program, related to services LSS provides is required. In addition:CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret written and verbal communication in order to successfully complete all required intervention and goal process documentation by established time frames. Must write progress reports and clearly communicate to external customers the effectiveness of services. Ability to document in neat, legible, accurate, and objective manner and consistently reflect the services provided. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, directors, and top management.
Spanish-speaking therapist/ bilingual English-Spanish therapist is strongly preferred.
TECHNOLOGYWorking knowledge of computers to allow employee to access computer systems and applications to complete timecards, read and respond to email, and complete required on-line training.
Able to use technology that is necessary to perform job responsibilities; use available technology effectively (voicemail, computer, printer, photocopier, fax and telephone, and various types of audio visual equipment).
TRAVEL: Ability to travel on day trips as required up to 50%, depending on program needs.
