Internship

Various positions are available for students in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Software Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering. These positions support MTS markets such as: ground vehicles, aerospace, biomedical, materials or geo/civil. Opportunities are generally available through the year, with many positions commencing in the summer.

In general, we will consider candidates with Junior-standing in an engineering discipline who possess the following:

  • Excellent team and leadership skills
  • Relevant coursework
  • Grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (preferred)

MTS is headquartered in Eden Prairie, a suburb of Minneapolis. Our main facility is home to our Corporate Office and Test businesses.

MTS's Sensors Division is headquartered in Cary, North Carolina. Tokyo, Japan

MTS has been in Tokyo for many years, but the MTS Technical Center in Nagoya was finally established in 2000 to build component test systems, as well as to offer enhanced demo capability and calibration services to our customers in the region. With local design and manufacturing support, the Technical Center brings us closer to our Asian customer base and positions us to better serve their needs. All employees are encouraged to offer ideas, which are seriously considered and put into practice whenever it improves the operation. We also have a new Sensors production operation in Tokyo.

Tokyo is known for its energy and excitement - and its collection of contrasting elements. The city combines old world with new, business districts that border the Imperial Palace and narrow back streets amid modern, cosmopolitan boulevards.
