CNC Machinist

Job Description
Position Title: CNC Machinist 1st or 2nd Shift
Wage: $22-$30
Shift: 1st or 2nd
Hours: 1st (Mon-Fri, 7am-3pm) 2nd (Mon-Thur, 3pm-1am)

CNC Machinist Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup and Operation: Set up CNC machines (Lathe, Milling, Horizontal Boring Bar) according to job specifications, including loading raw materials, selecting appropriate tools, and configuring machine settings.
- Programming: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files to program CNC machines for accurate and efficient machining operations.
- Quality Control: Perform in-process and final inspections to verify dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and adherence to quality standards. Make necessary adjustments to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Tool Maintenance: Monitor tool wear and perform routine maintenance tasks such as tool changes, sharpening, and replacement to optimize machine performance and prolong tool life.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot machine errors, tooling issues, and programming errors to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machining operations, including setup sheets, inspection reports, and tooling logs.
Requirements for CNC Machinist:
- 2-year Machine Tool diploma required
- Blueprint reading
- Material identification
- Must be able to use and read measuring / gaging devices
- Need to be able to work both independently and with others
- Technical aptitude
- 2-5 years job shop experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate
