Hourly/Non-Exempt position responsible for the oversight of a floor or dorm section. General duties:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular rounds during overnight hours to ensure students are safely in their dorms and adhering to school policies and procedures.
- Creating and implementing protocols for nighttime routines that promote a peaceful sleeping environment and facilitate the development of life and social skills.
- Enforcing school policies and procedures during nighttime hours to maintain a safe and conducive environment consistent with program goals and expectations.
- Providing mentorship, guidance, and emotional support to students as needed.
- Addressing any conflicts or concerns that arise among students in a timely and effective manner, while prioritizing the quiet and restful atmosphere.
- Assisting with emergency procedures and crisis management as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of students while they sleep.
- Maintaining accurate records of student interactions, incidents, and any necessary documentation.
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to working with students during overnight hours in a residential setting.
Essential Competencies and Personal Qualities
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required for this position.
